With worldwide performances stretching as far as India and Dubai, Metropolis have just returned from Paris, performing at an amazing event for American client RCI – The world’s largest timeshare network. With an impressive multinational client base, why are Metropolis different?
Why?
We believe every client every client’s requirements are unique. ‘Copy and paste’ events are no longer acceptable. Listening and responding to a client’s brief and designing a tailor made entertainment package, which reflects their tastes, are central to our philosophy.
RCI – The brief:
“To provide 4 hours of continuous music using an 8 -12 band. No breaks. Two hours background music and two hours of music for dancing. Styles to include Top 40, 80s and Classic Rock. The band must include two drummers.”
Live Music Design:
Here is an insight into the exclusive package we designed:
• 11 piece showband featuring 4 vocalists – two male & two female.
• An interchangeable drummer & percussionist which double on both instruments.
• A selection of musicians & singers who can perform the following contrasting styles:
- Swing: Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jnr & Dean Martin
- Jazz: Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone & Etta James
- Unplugged / Acoustic: Tom Petty, Jack Johnson & The Eagles
- Soul / Funk : Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding & Steve Wonder
- Classic Rock: The Rolling Stones, Queen & Free
- Top 40: Bruno Mars, Rhianna & Jessie J
Technical Backup
Full sound design, planning and consultation with the French PA company took place behind the scenes in the weeks proceeding to ensure the show was technically flawless.
