Here it is – The Metropolis Showband!

Well, earlier this week saw the official launch of the long awaited new Metropolis website. Five months in development not only saw a brand new website but also the launch of two brand new acts to our portfolio. The first of which is the Metropolis Showband.So what makes this different from Metropolis Live?

Style

The showband has been styled by stylist extraordinaire Carly Turbull who is normally found residing on wardrobe department on smash hit shows such as the Lion King. She had the bought to the table the distinct concepts for the ‘mix n match’ blue suits and waistcoats. Designed to be contemporary yet smart, this look really is a marriage of the formal and yet so much fun at the same time!

Flexible Bands Size

This is a 12 piece act which is highly visual and interactive, yet incredibly flexible. Whist 12 piece is the ‘standard’ size it can be scaled from a 9 all the way through to a staggering15 piece band, depending on the size of the event.

Five Vocalists

Three guys and two girls head up our army of fully choreographed singers - This gives an incredible range of options. From all five performing a 70s dance floor classic; to 3 girls performing the latest contemporary girl band hit; the guys performing the latest rock anthem; a girl & a guy performing a romantic duet. Short of a gospel choir, the possibilities are limitless!

Fully Choreographed

Headed up by legendary choreographer Leon Maurice-Jones (who has worked with acts such as the Pet Shop Boys) he has spent hours designing a highly interactive, visual experience that looks stunning on stages of all sizes.

Live Background Music

Not content with just supplying an incredible party set experience, the Metropolis showband is such a large format act, we have options to provide a wealth of live background music for many of those more low key moments. Why not check out Metropolis Unplugged to get some ideas?

Production Options

As you can imagine the Metropolis Showband is technically quite a large animal. Carrying some of the best crew around makes us a ‘one stop shop’ for all your event production needs.
