Are you looking to hire a Jewish Wedding Band in Manchester? Well you’ve come to the right place! Metropolis are the freshest Simcha Band out of London and regularly travel to Cheshire and the North West. Established 12 years, with a global reputation, we’d like to tell you a little more about Tracey & David’s Irish/Jewish Wedding.

    Background

Tracey & David live in Manchester but have a strong Irish heritage. As part of a small community of 500 Jews from Dublin, paying homage to both cultures was an important part of their day.

    Wedding

Their event was held at the Mere in Knutsford, one of the largest and most prestigious wedding venues in the North East. Made up of a relatively small production team, Metropolis supplied the event management to tie all the suppliers seamlessly together.

    Music

Given the heritage, getting the music spot on was imperative! Metropolis both flexible and bespoke approach was perfect to give a unique couple, a unique day. The wedding ceremony consisted of classical violin & piano music but it was the dancing where things really took off. A set of Israeli Dancing, a set of Irish Dancing and non stop, hire energy, modern pop and rock set.

    Suppliers

We had some fantastic suppliers to work with! A big shout out to the teams at Blake Ezra Photography, I&M Caters, Marry Me Films, Just Because Flower Studio and Party Essence. Please read Blake’s Photography Blog and check out some of his stunning shots.

    First Dance

As always, we managed to get an exclusive backstage first dance film. Recorded in our dressing room this YouTube Video gives another special slant on the day:

The year’s off to a good start for us on Planner’s Pod! This week we are joined by our good friend James Tosslle the sole proprietor of two complimentary companies that serve important key roles in the events industry.
The first one is Entertec, a professional audio company that provides speakers, mixing desks, P. A. systems and everything associated to making people nice and loud in venues and events. Second is a trucking company called J.T. Event Truck which makes sure that the equipment gets there safely and provide the logistics and transport for the events industry.
James is quite an entrepreneur and he’s done some pretty staggering stuff over the years. In this episode, he shares us his experiences on how he got into the sound engineering industry at a very early age and how he paved the way for himself to where he is now.
