    British Band For Hire

Well what a month it’s been in the Metropolis office! With events all over the UK and as far afield as New Delhi, Metropolis really are proving themselves to be the premier British Band for hire.

    Sneha & Ayush’s Wedding – India

Every so often you get an event that is truly special and this really was one of them. This was the third time Metropolis has performed in India. After two very successful parties in New Delhi and Kolkata, we were very proud to be invited back to play at Sneha & Ayush’s wedding in July 2013. This was no ordinary wedding… we had the privilege of performing in the most beautiful 30,000 square foot box tent, to over 1000 guests.

    DJ Vikrant Pawa

All three of these parties have one thing in common – that’s DJ Vikrant Pawa. Having seen us twice before, he made it his mission to make sure we returned for a third time. Not only that, he was the ultimate host for our four day trip. We love travelling and when you receive such hospitality it makes it all the more special. For this we can’t thank you enough! Please check out Vikrant Pawa’s website and his recent CD.

    My Heart Will Go On

Yes, this is the title of the Theme from Titanic. Vikrant, the mastermind of the entertainment, booked an Indian band to play before us and looking for that unique, never to be repeated moment, he asked us if we could do a duet? Of course the answer was yes! Rajbhatt Devendar, joined us on the flute. This guy was phenomenal – incredible tone and musical inflections. The perfect bespoke East meets West mash up.

As you might have guessed we love India and can’t wait to go back! This country has made us feel very welcome on many occasions now. Please watch the video above and check out the photos on Facebook. With any luck more exciting international party band events lie ahead…

    All the best
